LONG RANGE (CBSLA) – A brutal robbery and beatings that left the victim with a broken leg were caught on security footage nearby.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to the 300 block of East Peace Street at around 12:49 p.m. regarding reports of personal theft.

Investigators learned that the victim, a female, was walking down the street when two other adult women approached her and attempted to grab her purse. The victim held her purse, the two women beat her, took her wallet and then fled on foot.

The suspects are still at large and the investigation is continuing.
