One person drowned in a Halloween boat accident that saw six others come out of the water.

Emergency services were called to Waniora Point in Bulli, off Wollongong, around 10:20 a.m. Sunday after a vessel capsized.

Seven people on board were brought to safety by Surf Life Savers and Marine Area Command and taken ashore.
