Pokemon Go Fest 2021 kicks off in July and Niantic has already revealed some details on what we can expect to see in this next one Pokémon Go Event. However, it looks like there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes – a group of dataminers called the “PokeMiners” have discovered some pretty interesting things behind the scenes.

Highlights from the last round of Pokémon Go data mining (via PokéMiners). Keep in mind that datamined content does not guarantee that it will actually launch in-game.

What dataminers found out about Pokemon Go Fest 2021 and future updates

Pokeminers have discovered a lot of interesting things about Pokémon Go and Pokemon Go Fest 2021 in their latest datamining series. As always, you should keep in mind that content discovered through data mining may not actually launch in-game (if ever) – nothing is certain until it does.

To begin with, four new Pikachu costumes were discovered with a single new shape. These items are listed as “PIKACHU_KARIYUSHI”, “PIKACHU_POP_STAR”, “PIKACHU_ROCK_STAR”, “PIKACHU_FLYING_5TH_ANNIV” and “GOFEST_2021_NOEVOLVE”. This latest tag states that the Ponyta and Ziggy costumes that are expected to arrive during Pokemon Go Fest will not be able to evolve. (Kariyushi can refer to kariyushi shirt which became popular in the early 2000s in Okinawa, Japan.

Raid improvements could also be made. A new feature called “Raid Log” will essentially store a battle log from your previous raid, although it is not clear if this information will be available to players or if it will only be accessible to Niantic. A new “Raid Stadium” has also been detailed, indicating that there may soon be a dedicated raiding stadium. More than a dozen “unknown raid mechanics” were also discovered in the code according to the Pokeminers report on Reddit, although these elements have been obscured and impossible to decipher.

Considering the size of this update and all the new content, we could very well see some of these new goodies debuting around the time of the next Pokemon Go Fest. You can read about the tons of interesting information the PokeMiners have uncovered at Reddit. In the meantime, you can to play Pokémon Go free on Android and iOS via the game’s official website and now is a great time to get started – Pokemon Go Fest 2021 kicks off on July 17, 2021.
