Agribusiness leaders and producers can take an in-depth look at a range of factors impacting the industry in a five-part webinar series scheduled for November 1-5. The annual Pro-Ag Outlook and Management program will provide a concise assessment of current market conditions, opportunities and challenges, as well as expected trends in crop and livestock income potential for the new year.

Led by the Iowa State University outreach and outreach team, the events will also explore key management considerations.

Producers will hear about the impact of COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 on agricultural markets, and what could happen as the United States and the world continue to recover.

Announcing the series, Chad Hart, professor of economics and extension grain markets specialist at Iowa State University, said, “We are still recovering and trying to get out of the COVID crisis. From crop and livestock prices to supply chain disruptions to changes in land values ​​and farm investments, producers have a lot on their minds right now. “

The speaker line includes Hart; Alejandro Plastina, ISU Associate Professor in Economics and Extension Economist; Lee Schulz, ISU Associate Professor and Livestock Economist; Bobby Martens, Associate Professor and Agricultural Supply Chain Specialist; and Wendong Zhang, ISU Associate Professor of Economics and Extension Economist.

The program will take an in-depth look at the outlook for agriculture in 2022 and provide an opportunity to discuss Iowa’s current economic situation with academic experts.
